Information on issuance of Invitation letter│Medical appointment letter

  • Gumi Gangdong Hospital will issue invitations and medical appointments through prior consultation to those who require a visa or a statement of reason for entry to enter Korea.
  • During the issuance of invitation letter / medical appointment card, advance payment (deposit) may be requested. - KRW 3 milion or more( refunded upon discharge)
  • Relevant documents will not be issued to those who are determined to be unable to receive treatment.
  • Please note that if a person who has received a visa by submitting an invitation/appointment letter and has not received a visit to the hospital does not visit the hospital within 3 days without prior notice, it will be reported to the Immigration Office.
  • Documents to be submitted to the medical institution by the person who needs an invitation letter/reservation certificate

  • - Domestic/overseas hospital medical certificate or doctor's note that can explain treatment or recuperation

Guide for issuance for medical visa

  • Gumi Gangdong Hospital issues medical tourist visas (C-3-3, G-1-10) only to those with severe disease who require emergency surgery or treatment, and those whose identity is guaranteed.
  • Please note that medical tourism visas are not issued for other purposes such as health checkups and beauty visits.
  • Please note that if a person who visited Korea through a medical tourist visa does not get the hospital within 3 days without prior consultation, it will be reported to the Immigration Office.

  • ① Copy of passport (image file)
  • ② Two ID color photos(3.5 x 4.5 cm) taken within the last 6 months
  • ③ Resident Registration Card
  • ④ A certified copy of resident registration
  • ⑤ Family Relations Certificate
  • ⑥ Marriage certificate
  • ⑦ Certificate of No Criminal Record
  • - 18 years of age or older, limited to first-time applicants, issued within the last 3 months
  • ⑧ Certificate of employment (business registration certificate)
  • ⑨ Evidence of economic power (choose from 3)
  • - Business operator: tax payment certificate
  • - Employee: Social Insurance Card, National Pension Payment Confirmation
  • - Others: Proof of deposit at the embassy-designated bank

  • - If it is necessary to enter the country with a guardian, the personal information of the guardian must be specified.
  • ※ ※ In the case of remittance of 8 million(KRW) or more of medical expenses to a domestic medical institution in advance, the patient’s own financial documents are exempted.
  • ※ If a person under the age of 18 or a patient over the age of 55 applies together with his/her family, submission is exempt.

How to issue a medical tourist visa after receiving the visa issuance certificate
  • Submits customer information to HuNet (www.visa.go.kr), applies for a visa issuance certificate, and deliver it to the customer upon completion of issuance
  • The applicant (customer) submits the visa application form, visa issuance certificate, passport, photo, etc. to the embassy.
